How the number comes together

Three things set the price.

How much room it takes

We price by the space it fills on the trailer. A couch is a couch whether it is leather or plaid. Weight only comes into it for heavy debris like concrete, shingles and plaster, which the transfer station bills by the ton and so do we.

One person or two

Most of what people call about takes two of us. If the pile can wait at the curb or the garage door and one person can carry it, one of us comes and the price drops with the second seat. That is the biggest lever you have.

Where you are

We run out of Harbinger, so the drive is part of the price. Harbinger down through Nags Head is the standard rate. Past Duck to the north and past Nags Head to the south adds a little for the road.

Stage it at the curb BIGGEST SAVER

Everything set where the trailer can back up to it means one person and a short stop. Tell us it is at the curb when you text and we quote it that way.

Bundle it SAVES

One trip for the couch, the mattress and the garage pile costs less than three visits. Walk the house before you text and send the whole list.

Give us a choice of days SAVES

We run junk on set days each week. Two or three days that work for you lets us put your stop next to another one nearby, and the drive gets shared.

Send a clear photo TIGHTER RANGE

A photo of the whole pile with something for scale gets you a tighter range, and the price at the door stays inside it.

Stairs and long carries WE TELL YOU

A sleeper sofa down two flights is real work and is priced as work. Tell us the floor it is on and we build that in up front.

Fridges, freezers and mattresses WE TELL YOU

These go to a different facility from the rest of the load, so each one carries its own disposal charge. We still take them.

Heavy debris BY WEIGHT

Concrete, shingles, plaster and tile are billed by what they weigh at the scale. Text a photo and a rough size and we estimate the tonnage before we come.
