Wet or dried. Wet cans carry a small handling fee.
Small boats have no NC title, so we just haul them. Titled boats (14 ft and up): you keep the title, sign a quick disposal authorization, and we confirm there's no lien. Afterwards the boat gets reported to NC Wildlife as destroyed.
Rules keep a few things off our trailer, but none of them are dead ends. Here's the route for each one.
Hazardous-waste rules keep these off our trailer. Both counties run a free residents' collection day each spring (Currituck around April, Dare each May) that takes oil paints, thinners, pool chemicals and pesticides. Your county's Public Works department has the dates.
Grill tanks: swap at any hardware-store tank exchange, or the county collection days take them. Used motor oil & antifreeze: Currituck convenience centers and most auto-parts stores take them free, year-round.
Concrete slabs & walls we take, broken up and weighed at the scale (demolition). Clean fill dirt: local grading and landscaping outfits often want it. Worth a post before you pay anyone.
A licensed junk-car buyer or salvage yard will usually tow it free and sort the title paperwork with you; many pay cash for it.
Old medications: pharmacy take-back kiosks. Sharps: sealed in a rigid container per county guidance. The health department can point you to a drop-off.
